Hunter Douglas FAQ Template
Summer 2018
Part of my efforts as an intern with the Hunter Douglas Knowledge Team included evaluating article types for usability design. I created four article templates for the Knowledge Team to consider for future formatting uses, included above.

Pikes Peak Bike Tours Brochure
September 2017
Local client Pikes Peak Bike Tours presented usability design issues in a guide brochure to my technical editing class in the fall of 2017. Working with a partner, I analyzed usability design flaws, wrote, and designed two iterations of a new brochure for the company to use. My partner and I employed specified text formatting, photos, and concise language to ease users through the tour process. Our brochure was chosen out of four student projects and is still used in the tour today.
Assembling the IKEA Algot
February 2017
Tasked with analyzing an instruction manual for its potential design faults, I worked in a group of three to rewrite and redesign the instruction manual for a shelfing unit built by IKEA. Seeking to make accessibility a priority, we included close-up shots and concise paragraphs to help the user work through quickly. Additionally, we made a YouTube video to help those with visual impairments build the shelf as well (click the title to see).

Digital Safety in the Workplace
October 2017
I created an infographic on digital safety in the workplace for an advanced technical writing class in the fall of 2017. The goals of the project were to communicate dangers and warning signs through visuals whilst integrating research in a concise, easy-to-access way.
Letterpress Printing
February 2018
"Letterpress Printing" is a 15-page coffee table book I created for a publication technologies class in the spring of 2018. Intertwining research, compelling visuals, and quotes, my goal for the project was to provide accessible information in a creative tone for the reader.

The Scribe Social Media Marketing
Spring 2018
In order to increase awareness and establish an organizational brand, I created several social media marketing images to be used on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for The Scribe, UCCS' student-run newspaper. The goal was to integrate the student image with Scribe branding and promotional material to encourage students to pick up paper copies.
"Most Important Rap Song of 2016"
November 2018
As part of an English class that studied rap from a poetic lens, I was assigned to create a chapter that emulated Shea Serrano's The Rap Yearbook. The assignment intended to evaluate argumentation and document design skills, along with the development of the student's critical voice in regards to pop culture. The assignment received praise from my professor.
