Design Suggestions for the PlanCOS Website
December 2017
"Design Suggestions for the PlanCOS Website" is a 22-page proposal detailing usability design opportunities for the City of Colorado Springs' PlanCOS website. PlanCOS is Colorado Springs' updated comprehensive plan, including proposed changes to neighborhoods, the economy, parks and recreation, and more in the city. I completed this project as part of a technical editing class at the University of Colorado. Members of the steering committee for the project have since implemented the website suggestion changes.
Media Fee
November 2017
I created this proposal in accordance with the University of Colorado Colorado Springs' (UCCS) radio station and student government on behalf of The Scribe, UCCS' student newspaper where I served as Editor-in-Chief. The proposal justifies The Scribe and UCCS Radio's rationale for campaigning for a media fee that would independently fund student-run media on campus. Students voted on the fee's implementation in April 2018, and it has since been implemented at the university.
BMW Alternative Recycling
May 2017
As part of a group effort for a technical writing class, I researched and wrote this proposal, which discussed alternative recycling methods for BMW at the height of the company's emissions crisis. Hypothetical in nature, the results of this proposal were never implemented; however, the paper demonstrates my detailed attention to implications and analysis within research works.
