Hi, I'm Hannah Harvey. I'm a technical writer and editor based in Denver, Colorado. Currently, I'm a Proposal Specialist at ECC, a government contractor that specializes in environmental remediation, disaster response, UXO, design-build and construction projects.

Before this position, I worked in journalism and technical communication, where I did the following roles and projects:

- Digital media management at The Colorado Springs Gazette,

- Reporting on education issues at The Colorado Springs Independent,

- Grant writing at the Rocky Mountain Field Institute, Peak Vista and the Space Foundation,

- Consolidating the Hunter Douglas Knowledge base, and

- Leading publishing, design, social media, writing, and editing as Editor-in-Chief of The Scribe, the University of Colorado's (Colorado Springs) student newspaper.

 

I'm also skilled in:

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in Technical Communication at the University of Colorado in 2018, graduating with magna cum laude honors and highest distinction from the Department of English. My degree program aimed to be immersive and encouraged a well-rounded skill set in writing, editing, and design with user experience as the main focus.

 

My current interests are in law (environment, procurement, media and intellectual property), iterative proposal and project development, research and the application of user experience design to any project I am a part of. In the future, I plan to continue my career in environmental project contracting as a I pursue further education in law.

 

In my free time, I love working with animals, creating abstract art, cooking (or, well, learning how to), traveling and learning something new everyday.
